This research sought to establish the most common format of conference presentation for delegates at the European Conference of Domestic Violence.
Delegates attending conferences are keen to share their work, but are also often anxious about whether their chosen format for presentation will be accepted. This study sought to explore which presentation formats are most popular amongst delegates applying to present at a conference, and how successful were delegates in getting theory chosen presentation format.
A quantitative analysis of the presentation formats applied for by delegates, compared to the final choice of presentation format by the conference scientific committee.
Almost all delegates presented in their format of preference, although some workshop applications were not successful.
Delegates seeking to run a workshop should be explicit about the nature of delegate participation in the session.
